On July 8th, JYP Entertainment confirmed that Lia’s treatment and rest had greatly improved her symptoms of tension and anxiety. After consulting with Lia, it was decided that she would resume activities with ITZY’s upcoming album, set to be released in the latter half of the year.
“They clarified, “However, it is important to note that any previously scheduled events and photo shoots before the release of the new album will still feature all four members (Yeji, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, Yuna).”
The agency conveyed their appreciation, stating, “We are grateful to the fans for their unwavering encouragement and support during Lia’s recovery. We remain committed to supporting the artist in her journey towards a full and healthy recovery, so that she may soon reunite with her fans.”
Prior to this, Lia had temporarily paused her activities in September of the previous year due to health concerns. During this time, she stated, “After careful consideration, I have made the decision to prioritize my health and will not be involved in the creation of this album or the upcoming world tour.”
ITZY is currently embarking on their second world tour, titled “BORN TO BE.”After successfully completing their North American leg, the group will continue to Taiwan on July 20th, followed by performances in Manila on August 3rd and Hong Kong on August 10th.
