We are currently over halfway through Season 4 of The Boys, and a major spoiler has already been revealed, hinting at what’s to come in the season finale.
One of the main storylines in Season 4 of The Boys revolves around Billy Butcher’s ultimate destiny. Throughout Season 3, Butcher continuously takes Temp-V, but this leads to his inevitable death from a large brain tumor.
Despite his initial focus on saving Ryan, Butcher was forced to confront the reality of his own situation in Episode 5. This came in the form of a dying, V-infused rabbit with massive tentacles erupting from its body, providing him with a firsthand glimpse of what was happening to his own body.
A recent leak on the The Boys subreddit has potentially revealed Butcher’s ultimate fate, making it one of the most shocking moments in the series. Caution: The following contains possible spoilers for The Boys Season 4.
According to the original poster, they received the image through Discord. The leaked spoiler is said to have originated from an unknown website that mistakenly posted a screenshot from the Season 4 finale of The Boys. It shows Butcher with tentacles protruding from his chest, similar to the one shared by the OP.
One fan recognized the moment from previous leaks and commented, “Based on the VoughtHQ leaks, it seems likely that this is the moment when Butcher kills Neuman. Hughie appears to be trying to stop Butcher, possibly because they already know about her tumor powers.”
Fans on the subreddit were shocked by the potential strength of Butcher, with one user speculating, “I wonder if the ultimate antagonist will be the entity that possesses Butcher or transfers to another host.”
Another person commented, “In my opinion, it seems more lethal than his Temp-V lasers.”However, they also mentioned that without super strength or durability, this person may not be overpowered. They questioned, “What would prevent Homelander from using his laser on him if he doesn’t have super durability?”
There have been indications in the past that this could potentially be Butcher’s final destiny. In episode four of the animated anthology series The Boys Presents Diabolical!, the story revolved around Sun-Hee, an aging woman battling cancer who was administered Compound V by her spouse.
