Since his debut in the anime, he has been characterized as loud, whiny, and constantly afraid. However, when he enters a state of unconsciousness, his instincts take over and he displays impressive abilities in fighting demons.
Despite his usual lighthearted and complaining nature, Zenitsu rarely reveals a different demeanor to viewers. However, the latest episode portrayed a side of him that fans had yet to see.
The upcoming season of Demon Slayer will surely bring excitement to the anime-only fanbase as the highly anticipated fight featuring the demon hunter mentioned above will take place. This battle, which will be showcased in the Infinity Castle arc, is expected to be the character’s most significant moment in the series, and the current season has built up to it flawlessly.

Demon Slayer: The Anticipated Battle of Zenitsu for Anime-Only Fans
After reading an important letter, Zenitsu’s life was forever changed, setting him up to become one of the most cold and calculating characters in the anime series. In the recent episode, Chuntaro frantically delivered the letter to Zenitsu, leading up to the perfectly arranged fight.
The letter revealed that Jigoro Kuwajima, the protagonist’s master, had committed Seppuku after learning that his other student, Kaigaku, had transformed into a demon following his encounter with Kokushibo. Kaigaku, who was defeated by the Upper Moon 1 demon, was given the ultimatum of either dying or becoming a demon. Due to his cowardice, Kaigaku ultimately chose to become a demon.
Kaigaku is the sole Upper Moon demon, aside from Kokushibo, who possesses knowledge of a Breathing Technique. In the Infinity Castle arc, Zenitsu Agatsma will engage in a duel with his former upperclassman. A notable aspect of this confrontation will be Zenitsu’s behavior, as it will be the first time he fights without losing consciousness. Fans will witness a more serious and focused Zenitsu, even witnessing him utilize his own self-created technique to battle Kaigaku.
Despite only being able to master the first form of the Thunder Breathing Technique, he was still a formidable opponent. In contrast, Kaigaku had mastered all forms of Thunder Breathing except for the first, making this matchup particularly intriguing. As if facing an Upper Moon demon wasn’t challenging enough, Kaigaku also utilized the Breathing Technique in his battle against Zenitsu.
On paper, Kaigaku seems to have the advantage. Despite this, the deuteragonist emerges as the winner and defeats Kaigaku with a powerful strike. It was the Seventh form known as the Flaming Thunder God, a technique created and executed by Zenitsu, that ultimately defeated Kaigaku. With the added factor of Ufotable’s exceptional animation, this fight is expected to be one of the standout moments in the entire anime series.
