This 5th-Gen Male Idol’s Alleged Plastic Surgery Causes Stir Among K-Netizens

Speculation surrounding a fifth-generation K-pop idol’s changed appearance has sparked attention, leading many to believe that he may have undergone plastic surgery.

Over the past few months, Korean netizens have been observing the distinct changes in the appearance of ONE PACT member Yoon Jongwoo. The discussion resurfaced once again when fellow member Yedam also caught attention for his upgraded visuals.

In 2022, Ze:U, formerly known as Jongwoo, debuted with Black Level as their main dancer and maknae. Tragically, he departed from the group on November 29, 2022, just a few months after his debut.

In 2023, he gained more recognition when he participated in “Boys Planet”as a solo trainee. He was highly favored by the audience and advanced to the finals. Unfortunately, he did not make the final cut for ZEROBASEONE and ultimately finished the show in 13th position.

After being eliminated from the show, Jongwoo, along with fellow “Boys Planet”contestants Jay Chang, Oh Seongmin, TAG, and Lee Yedam, formed ONE PACT and officially debuted on November 30, 2023. However, Korean netizens were quick to point out the noticeable change in Jongwoo’s appearance after their debut.

After having monolids and a wider nose, Jongwoo’s appearance now showcases a sharper and taller nose bridge. Furthermore, his eyes appear to have undergone surgery, resulting in a deeper fold and a wider appearance. His jawline has also become more defined, giving his face a smaller appearance. These subtle transformations have led many to believe that he has undergone plastic surgery.

Despite sparking different opinions, the unveiling of his new visuals elicited mixed reactions. While some jokingly accused him of getting a “whole new face”for his debut with ONE PACT, others expressed disappointment in the apparent drastic change, particularly in his nose. Dedicated fans of Jongwoo also shared their slight disappointment in his decision to undergo plastic surgery, as they feel he now resembles a different person.

Despite some resistance, there were also many who welcomed the change. They commented on how attractive and stunning he looked with his enhanced appearance, and emphasized that as long as Jongwoo was content, the surgery was of no concern. Numerous individuals also came to the defense of the male idol, supporting his choice to undergo cosmetic surgery.
