The company stated, “Tinder is using AI to better understand what you’re into — and turn that into smarter, more personalized recommendations.” They plan to expand Chemistry’s functionalities to enhance the overall user experience on the app.

Chemistry comprises an opt-in feature called Camera Roll Scan, designed to analyze the photos in your device. According to Tinder, this feature “helps you discover ‘Photo Insights’ based on patterns in your camera roll, revealing your interests, lifestyle, and personality themes.” This initiative seeks to provide users with a more comprehensive portrayal of themselves beyond the conventional profile images.
