Demon Slayer has consistently been a popular choice among otakus, thanks to its unforgettable characters, strong bonds, and epic fights that have cemented its status as an icon.
The franchise has now expanded to include four anime seasons and three highly successful movies. The Demon Slayer anime’s 4th season, the Hashira Training Arc, recently completed its run and was followed by the announcement of the film trilogy for the Infinity Castle Arc.

Sanemi and Obanai’s First Encounter with Infinity Castle
It was our first encounter with the notorious Infinity Castle during season 4.
While searching for the villagers who had been kidnapped by the demons, Sanemi and Obanai unexpectedly come across an abandoned hideout.
As they spot a demon carrying another woman, they quickly give chase through the castle. The incredible one-sided showdown between the Hashiras and the demons was a truly thrilling sight.
Despite successfully rescuing the woman, Sanemi and Obanai found themselves falling into the Infinity castle where they would face none other than Muzan Kibutsuji, the Demon King.
However, the castle only made a brief appearance before they were transported back to the forest.
The anticipation and gradual development, ultimately culminating in an unexpected climax, solidify its position as one of the standout moments in season 4.
The Great Soba Showdown
It would be impossible to discuss Season 4 of the anime without acknowledging the heartwarming scene featuring the lively Tanjiro and the introverted Tomoika.
Tanjiro persisted in convincing Tomioka to join the Hashira training program, despite his initial refusal. He shadowed Tomioka, hoping to sway him into agreement.
Eventually, Tanjiro suggests a soba eating competition as a way to convince Giyu to comply. Despite Giyu emerging as the clear winner, he purposely allows Tanjiro to eat more than him in order to give him a sense of victory.
It was pleasant to witness this pure moment, with the assurance of what lies ahead for the characters.
3. Training with Gyomei
Tanjiro and Zenitsu continue their training with Gyomei, the most powerful of the stone Hashira. As anticipated, the training proves to be extremely challenging, but Tanjiro successfully completes all of the stages.
Despite facing difficulties, he persevered through the final stage of moving the big boulder. Despite multiple failed attempts, Genya came to his aid and shared the concept of repetitive motion with him, which helped him to focus better. With the support of his loved ones and the words of Rengoku in his mind, he kept trying until he successfully moved the boulder.
Despite Tanjiro’s unwavering determination, it was equally heartwarming to witness the bond between him and Genya.
Gyomei vs. Muzan
In the emotional conclusion of the anime, the Ubuyahiki Mansion is blown up in an attempt to defeat Muzan, but ultimately fails. Tamayo then employs the blood demon art, sacrificing herself to ensnare Muzan and allow Gyomei to deliver the final blow.
The Ufotable did a fantastic job animating Gyomei Himejima’s entrance in the midst of fire and debris. Additionally, the flashback scene between him and Ubuyashiki was executed wonderfully.
The intense battle to hold back Muzan until the sunrise was just as epic as depicted in the anime, if not even more intense.
1 . Kagaya Ubayashiki’s Selfless Act
The highly anticipated finale had arrived, with Kibutsuji Muzan making his way to the bedside of the bedridden Ubuyashiki. Fans had been eagerly anticipating this showdown between the two rival clan leaders for quite some time. As predicted, every scene in this episode, from the flashback revealing Ubuyashiki’s family history to Muzan’s emotional state, captivated viewers and kept them hooked to their screens.
Despite Muzan’s intention to end him there, the mansion suddenly burst into flames and erupted in a massive explosion. The Hashiras rushed to rescue the mansion, but unfortunately, they were too late.
Despite no one, including Muzan, expecting the plan, the intense scene was taken to the extreme with the exceptional animation. Undoubtedly, this moment in Demon Slayer will be remembered as one of the greatest in anime history.
About Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba
Koyoharu Gotoge wrote and illustrated the Japanese manga series, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. It was first published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2016 and concluded in May 2020 with a total of 23 collected tankōbon volumes.
In a world where demons and demon slayers coexist, Kimetsu no Yaiba depicts the journey of two siblings, Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado, whose family was tragically killed by a demon. However, their struggles continue as Nezuko is spared but forced to live as a demon.
As the eldest sibling, Tanjiro makes a solemn promise to protect and heal his sister. The story follows the unbreakable bond between this duo of demon slayer and demon, as they face off against a formidable enemy and society’s disapproval.
