Warzone players will need to exercise patience as they will not be able to return to Verdansk anytime soon. Black Ops 6 does not include a new large map for the free-to-play battle royale game.
While Activision never officially confirmed it, reliable inside leaks previously mentioned that Verdansk would make a comeback in Warzone alongside Black Ops 6.
Despite the information from reliable sources at CharlieIntel and a report from BobNetworkUK, it has been announced that Verdansk’s comeback in Black Ops 6’s Season 1 has been postponed and will not be available in Warzone until 2025.
Despite the delay of the iconic original map, Urzikstan will continue to serve as the primary big map for the battle royale mode in Black Ops 6. However, it is expected to receive updates to its points of interest and the introduction of Ranked Play at some point during the game’s lifecycle as compensation.
Despite a lack of official confirmation, reliable sources have revealed that Verdansk’s reappearance will be postponed until the mid-lifecycle of Black Ops 6.

If Treyarch’s upcoming game follows the pattern of recent Call of Duty titles, it is expected to have six seasons of new content. This suggests that Warzone players may have to wait until Black Ops 6 Season 3 for Verdansk to make its return, which may be disappointing for those eagerly anticipating its reappearance.
BobNetworkUK has stated that Treyarch is currently in development of their own Resurgence map for Black Ops 6, set to be released during the game’s live seasons. The rumored map, possibly named “Area 99,”is speculated to take place in a top-secret United States facility, fitting perfectly with the Black Ops franchise’s theme.
The Call of Duty community is eagerly anticipating this, as they have confidence in the development studio’s skills due to their success with the three-lane approach for multiplayer maps, which will be making a comeback in BO6.
