XDefiant Community Demands Removal of Frustrating Ability With No Place in the Game

The Spiderbot is a DedSec ability in XDefiant that renders players defenseless against enemy fire by stunning them. However, this feature has proven to be frustrating for players who are eager for its removal.

To successfully defeat the Spiderbot, one must shoot it while it is on their face. However, even if this is done, there is a possibility of it attacking once more due to a technical glitch.

In addition to its stunning effect, this ability also slows you down when it approaches, making it slightly more powerful than other abilities currently in the game.

The Reddit user known as ‘Connnooorr’ expressed their frustration with the Spiderbot’s presence in the game, stating that it had “no business being here.”They also shared a video of themselves using the Phantom Ultra skill, only to be abruptly taken out by a Spiderbot. This caused them to experience overwhelming frustration.

Similarly, other players also recounted their experience and unanimously concurred that the Spiderbot proved to be incredibly “irritating”during gameplay.

During a discussion, one player expressed, “While the Spiderbot itself can be irritating, the fact that it slows you down before actually attaching is even more frustrating.”Another player, who relies on the Spiderbot as their primary weapon, concurred that it could benefit from being toned down.

Some individuals believed that nerfs would not adequately address the problem and advocated for its complete removal. One player stated, “It should be replaced with something else because it is not enjoyable to use or play against,”while another exclaimed, “Take it out of the game altogether.”

Despite its intended purpose of countering other abilities in the game, the Spiderbot is often criticized by players as a cheap skill that guarantees a kill every 30 seconds in its current state in XDefiant.

As Season 1 is set to release on July 2, players remain optimistic that the developers will tackle the issue, similar to how they have addressed problems with weapon XP and mastery adjustments.
