QuarterJade Faces Stalker Threats

During a December 2024 stream, QuarterJade recounted two alarming events that took place in the early days of her streaming journey, describing the behavior as “terrible.”She reflected, “When I first started streaming, somebody sent me a screenshot of my house with some not-very-nice words. I think I had maybe been streaming for three weeks. It’s kinda crazy, but that did set me up for how cautious I am now.”

She expressed her fears, stating, “I was so scared. I was like, ‘Oh, I can’t be on the internet. Everything that everyone has warned me [about] is so true.’ I actually can’t believe I still stream.”

The situation escalated further when QuarterJade encountered harassment from fans of another streamer, who confronted her with threats of sexual violence if she declined to play League of Legends with them. This harrowing experience almost pushed her to abandon streaming altogether.

Despite the overwhelming negativity from certain individuals online, she chose to persevere. “I remember coming to the decision of, ‘I really don’t want to let men be the deciding factor. I’m not gonna let stinky little men take this thing away from me when I really like this thing.’ But there were definitely thoughts about quitting,” she shared.

QuarterJade’s experiences are not unique; many female streamers have faced similar harassment online. Notably, Amouranth has publicly shared her own disturbing incidents, including a stalker who traveled from Estonia to invade her privacy. The prevalence of such behaviors highlights ongoing challenges for women in the streaming community.
