A behind-the-scenes video for episodes 11 and 12 of the Sat-Sun drama “Queen of Tears” was uploaded by the YouTube channel “tvN Drama” on April 16th.
In the video, Baek Hyun-woo, played by Kim Soo-hyun, tightly embraces Hong Hae-in, played by Kim Ji-won, after she wakes up at the hospital following a collapse caused by her rare illness.
Despite her worsening condition caused by the disease, Kim Soo-hyun spoke calmly and with a sorrowful expression, reassuring others by saying, “Don’t be scared”and “Don’t be afraid”.
As the director yelled “Cut,”the two actors finished the scene with flawless performances. Once the main shoot was over, the camera behind the scenes was turned on and successfully captured a heart-fluttering moment from Kim Soo-hyun.
The actor made a point to continue stroking Kim Ji-won’s hair and patting her head even after the shoot had finished.
Upon viewing the scene, viewers were filled with enthusiastic reactions, including comments such as “Do they actually have feelings for each other?”and “I’ve heard that acting in a drama can lead to real-life romance.”Some even went as far as to suggest that the actors should get married.
According to Good Data Corporation, “Queen of Tears”maintained its top spot for six weeks in a row and was the highest ranked TV-OTT drama in the third week of April, as reported by the survey.
“The drama “Queen of Tears”follows the love story of Hong Hae-in (played by Kim Ji-won), a third-generation chaebol, and her husband Baek Hyun-woo (played by Kim Soo-hyun) as they navigate a crisis in the third year of their marriage. The most recent episode (episode 12) earned the show its highest rating yet, exceeding 20%.”
