According to a report by Soompi, Nielsen Korea has recorded that the most recent episode of Queen of Tears has surpassed its previous rating of 20.7%, making it the second highest-rated drama in tvN’s history. This achievement of reaching the 20% rating mark is a rare feat for K-dramas on the network.
Despite its status as a global phenomenon and classic among fans, Goblin has been officially surpassed by Queen of Tears. However, the question still remains: which K-drama takes the top spot above both of them?
It is not surprising that Crash Landing on You has maintained its dominance, having achieved a 21.7% rating since its final episode in 2020. Every K-drama enthusiast is familiar with the show, which features real-life married couple Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin.
Thanks to Netflix, Queen of Tears has the potential to become the next K-drama classic just like Crash Landing on You, which gained worldwide recognition after Netflix acquired its streaming rights and made it available to fans around the globe.
