Queen of Tears Reaches Record High Rating in Episode 13, Hae-in Faces Memory Loss

On April 20th (Saturday), the 13th episode of tvN’s “Queen of Tears” depicted Baek Hyun-woo (played by Kim Soo-hyun) and Hong Hae-in (played by Kim Ji-won) facing difficult decisions, with Hae-in possibly having to sacrifice her cherished memories in order to survive.

Consequently, the 13th episode received an average rating of 22.3%, with a peak of 24.2% among households in the Seoul metropolitan area. It also achieved an average rating of 20.2%, with a high of 21.9% nationwide, earning the top spot in its time slot.

During this episode, Baek Hyun-woo received news from German medical personnel that a surgery could potentially save Hae-in’s life, but it could also result in the loss of all her memories. Despite this potential side effect, Hae-in was overjoyed when Hyun-woo told her about the treatment. Full of hope for a future with him, she agreed to her husband’s request to call off their divorce and created many happy memories with him before undergoing the surgery.

Baek Hyun-woo and Hong Hae-in traveled to Germany together. As they approached the laboratory, Hyun-woo finally revealed the side effect of the surgery, which he had been hesitant to tell Hae-in. Upon learning this news, Hae-in pulled away from Hyun-woo’s grasp and firmly declared that she would not go through with the surgery. However, Baek reminded her that the surgery was their only chance to save her and urged her, “Don’t make a decision, don’t even consider it. Just trust me and listen to my advice.”

The 14th episode of tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Queen of Tears”will air tonight (April 21st, KST), continuing the story of Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won as they face difficult decisions.
