Queen of Tears Stars Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won Will Not Conduct Wrap-Up Interview

The drama “Queen of Tears”airing on tvN during Saturdays and Sundays tells the story of Hong Hae-in (played by Kim Ji-won), a third-generation chaebol heiress of Queens Group, and Baek Hyun-woo (played by Kim Soo-hyun), the son of farmers from Yongdu-ri. The drama follows their tumultuous marriage over the course of three years, filled with crises and a heartwarming rekindling of their love.

This project is a joint effort between writer Park Ji-eun, known for achieving the highest ratings in tvN drama history, director Jang Young-woo of “Bulgasal: Immortal Souls”, and director Kim Hee-won of “Vincenzo”and “Little Women”. Its 14th episode, which aired on April 21st, garnered a record-breaking 21.6% rating, making it the second-highest rated tvN drama of all time.

Despite being only 0.1% behind the first place “Crash Landing on You”, the show has caused a craze similar to a syndrome. As a result, a second after-show party is scheduled for April 27th.

Several actors, including Kim Kap-soo, Lee Joo-bin, Park Sung-hoon, and Kwak Dong-yeon, are set to take part in the concluding interview.

Sadly, it has been announced that the lead actors of “Queen of Tears”, Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won, will not be taking part in the wrap-up interview.

Both Gold Medalist, the agency representing Kim Soo-hyun, and HighZium Studio, the agency representing Kim Ji-won, stated that scheduling conflicts were the reason for not being able to participate in the interview. They clarified that, although they had initially discussed making arrangements to accommodate the overwhelming love from fans, it ultimately proved to be difficult due to conflicting schedules. In fact, both agencies had previously announced that they were in talks for the interview. The inability to hear about the actors’ chemistry and behind-the-scenes stories is a disappointment for fans.

The 16th episode of “Queen of Tears”will conclude on April 28th. However, the broadcast time on April 27th and 28th has been shifted up by 10 minutes to 9:10 PM. Moreover, special broadcasts of the drama have been announced due to its immense popularity.
