On October 16, Magenta, a member of the QWER group, welcomed her fellow bandmate Chodan to her hometown, Pohang, during an episode of their TV series.
Throughout the episode, Magenta reminisced about the places she frequented with her family during her high school years and introduced Chodan to some beloved local dining spots.
While they waited for their meal, Chodan inquired, “Didn’t you mention that a classmate reached out to apologize after your rise to fame? Were they involved in bullying you?”
Magenta confirmed, “Yes, that was true. It was a peer who merely stood by while I was bullied,” and continued, “I faced some challenging situations related to school violence. There was one instance during lunch when something really hurtful happened to me.”
The video omitted specific details about the incident, leading Chodan to respond, “That was beyond excessive.”
Reflecting on the past, Magenta recounted, “Eventually, a classmate reached out to say, ‘I have been enjoying your music,’ and during our conversation, they confessed, ‘I realize now that I was a bystander during the bullying. I’m sorry.’ Another classmate contacted me, expressing, ‘I’m happy to see you thriving now.’”
Magenta voiced her disappointment, stating, “I wasn’t even informed about the reunion. I had no idea it was happening.”
Chodan humorously responded, “If you attend the reunion, you’ll be the star of the show. They’ll roll out the red carpet and see your designer bag and feel envious.”
In other news, QWER unveiled their single “My Name is Malguem”on September 23, produced by Soyeon of (G)I-DLE. The group has rapidly gained popularity, achieving three victories on various music programs.
Additionally, QWER previously attracted attention as many of their members had left school before debuting.
