On December 31st, a touching video shared by a user known as A has gone viral on social media, depicting what many perceive as a rainbow pathway to heaven emerging in the sky close to Muan Airport, the site of the recent tragic Jeju Air plane crash.

The video, lasting approximately one minute, features A driving along a road and filming a remarkable beam of light that penetrates the clouds vertically, clearly visible in the direction of Muan Airport. This scene was especially poignant in light of the preceding tragedy.
A recounted that they first spotted this breathtaking sight around 4:40 PM (KST) the previous day while traveling from Naju to Wando, Jeollanam-do. “Initially, I thought the vertical rainbow was unusual. Its beauty left me in awe, especially upon realizing it pointed toward Muan Airport,”A described.
Furthermore, A expressed a heartfelt sentiment about the victims of the tragic event: “I couldn’t help but wonder if the souls of those lost in this terrible incident were rising to the heavens. While the rainbow appeared stunning, I feel it still doesn’t fully convey its magnificence.”They continued with a message of hope for the grieving families, stating, “I hope this sight offers them comfort and that the victims find peace in a better place.”
