Randy Orton hilariously rejected remix to his “Voices” theme song upon WWE return

A WWE reporter disclosed that Randy Orton expressed no interest in Def Rebel’s remix of his theme song, “Voices,”when it was played for him by the WWE prior to his comeback in 2022.

The wrestler who was a part of the third generation of his family to enter the sport, had two different theme songs during his time in the company from 2002 to 2009, until the release of “Voices”in 2009.

The man responsible for the legendary WWE song, director of music Jim Johnston, attributed its creation to Orton’s enigmatic presence, stating “you can never predict what’s going on in his mind.”However, Def Rebel was aware of Orton’s honest opinions about their remix.

On the eve of his 22-year anniversary in the WWE, Corey Brennan of Fightful Wrestling revealed that the RKO specialist was initially unhappy when WWE management presented the rendition to him.

According to Brennan, the theme chosen by Randy, Triple H, and Michael Hayes was not approved. They played it in the arena for about 10 minutes until one of my sources confirmed that it would not be used.

Def Rebel is the mastermind behind the theme songs of various WWE superstars, such as Seth Rollins, Logan Paul who holds the United States Championship, and Jey Uso who is a contender for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Despite Uso’s theme, “Main Event Ish” , being a fan-favorite, the Fightful panel noted that some wrestlers, such as Sheamus, have moved on from using versions provided by Def Rebel’s catalog, according to the panel.

However, the same cannot be said for Randy Orton. As the WWE’s 18th Grand Slam champion, his theme song perfectly embodies his character. Orton’s egotistical persona, intense presence in the ring, and unpredictable tactics have all contributed to solidifying his place as one of the WWE’s most formidable heels.

Despite the deviation from his usual classic rock theme, Orton has remained loyal to the song that has been associated with some of his most memorable battles.
