Despite being ranked last among the Hashira, Giyu Tomioka is an invaluable member of the Demon Slayer Corps. He is one of the rare few who have acquired the Demon Slayer Mark and has also created his own form within the Water Breathing Technique. Notably, he played a crucial role in defeating Akaza, the Upper Moon 3 demon.

Without his efforts in the fight, the demon would have easily killed Tanjiro. Additionally, his contributions were crucial in the battle against Kibutsuji Muzan, as he delivered decisive blows that ultimately led to humanity’s victory over the demons.

Tanjiro Kamado

By the conclusion of the manga, Tanjiro Kamado had reached the rank of a Hashira. He not only demonstrated his ability to hold his own against formidable opponents like Akaza, but also inflicted significant damage upon the demon. Additionally, he was the first individual of his generation to possess the Demon Slayer Mark, which, when combined with his mastery of the Sun Breathing technique, grants him a slight advantage over the Water Hashira in terms of strength.

Tanjiro’s mastery of the Breathing Technique played a crucial role in Muzan’s downfall as it was a technique specifically created to defeat the Demon King. By the conclusion of the manga, Tanjiro’s speed, strength, and stamina were comparable to some of the most powerful Hashira.

Obanai Iguro and Muichiro Tokito: Two Powerful Demon Slayers

Obanai Iguro, also known as the Serpent Hashira, is a highly favored character among the list of Demon Slayer characters. Despite his reserved nature, he possesses exceptional combat abilities and is considered one of the most powerful Hashira in the series, ranking just below Sanemi and Gyomei on this list.

Despite being blind in one eye, he still managed to hold his own against Muzan in the final battle. Despite the loss of one of his most crucial senses, he was able to inflict damage upon the Demon King during their intense fight.

Muichiro Tokito and Obanai Iguro are evenly matched in terms of skill. As two of the most talented Demon Slayers, they both discovered a method to significantly weaken Kokushibo. By activating their Demon Slayer Marks, they were able to inflict significant damage on their opponents.

Character Profile: Sanemi Shinazugawa

Sanemi Shinazugawa, alongside Gyomei, faced off against Kokushibo as the Wind Hashira. He is known as one of the most fierce and unyielding characters in the Demon Slayer series, always ready for any battle. Sanemi played a pivotal role in the defeat of the Upper Moon 1 demon and was among the only two remaining Hashira at the conclusion of the manga.

Moreover, even after sustaining injuries during the battle with Kokushibo, he persisted in fighting and inflicted significant harm on Muzan. Additionally, Sanemi successfully accessed the Demon Slayer Mark and obtained the crucial bright red Nichirin blade, essential for defeating formidable demons.

Gyomei Himejima – Demon Slayer Character

Despite facing formidable opponents, Gyomei Himejima remains the strongest Hashira in the series. His strength is unmatched by any other human, except for Yoriichi. Even Kokushibo, who had not encountered a human as impressive in centuries, took notice of Gyomei’s physique. In the end, it was Gyomei’s strength that ultimately led to Kokushibo’s defeat.

Moreover, Gyomei not only unlocked the Demon Slayer Mark, but also gained the Transparent World ability, which greatly enhanced his fighting skills and enabled him to successfully battle Muzan. His feat of achieving all of this despite his blindness has made him one of the most adored characters in Demon Slayer.

Akaza – Japanese Name

Despite being a demon, Akaza receives a great deal of empathy from fans in the Demon Slayer series. He was a victim of circumstances and ultimately became one of the strongest demons in the series. He effortlessly killed Kyojuro Rengoku, although it may have appeared as though he struggled, Akaza was not showcasing his true abilities in that fight.

Moreover, Akaza possesses the rare ability to regrow his head even after being beheaded with a Nichirin blade, setting him apart from other demons. If he had recognized his full potential, Akaza could have surpassed powerful demons like Doma. Ultimately, it was his choice to step down that enabled Tanjiro and Giyu to escape with their lives.

Despite his impressive combat abilities, Doma, the Upper Moon 2 demon, is widely despised among Demon Slayer fans. His repulsive demeanor is only matched by the deadly potential of his Blood Demon Art, which can release minuscule ice particles that are highly toxic to humans and can result in death by simply breathing them in.

In order to save the lives of some of the strongest demon hunters, Shinobu Kocho made the ultimate sacrifice by filling her body with highly potent concoctions that could kill demons. Without her selfless act, Doma would have been able to defeat them single-handedly.

Kokushibo, who was once Yoriichi’s brother, evolved into a demon and became known as the Upper Moon 1 demon. He created his own Breathing Technique and during his reign, he successfully defeated many Hashira. He almost managed to defeat Gyomei and Sanemi simultaneously.

With his flesh weapon, he possesses the ability to simultaneously slice through humans and launch crescent-shaped projectiles. Additionally, he has complete control over the speed, shape, size, and path of these blades. This makes him one of the most dreaded characters in Demon Slayer, as he walks a sinister path fueled by his envy towards his brother’s skills.

Muzan Kibutsuji

Despite being despised by many, Kibutsuji Muzan, known as the Demon King, remains one of the most infamous characters in the world of Demon Slayer. His unyielding determination to survive led him to ruthlessly eliminate demon hunters such as Obanai Iguro, Mitsuri Kanroji, and Gyomei Himejima during their war. His formidable strength was such that it took the Demon Slayer Corps several centuries to ultimately defeat him.

Despite his seven hearts and five brains, he proved to be nearly impossible to kill. It took the combined strength of all demon hunters and Tamayo to defeat him, and in his final moments, he succeeded in turning Tanjiro into a demon. He is widely known as one of the most tenacious characters in Demon Slayer.

1) Yoriichi Tsukiguni

Despite being a legendary swordsman, he was unable to defeat Muzan alone. This was not due to a lack of skill, but because Muzan had the ability to divide himself into 1800 parts. Despite managing to destroy 1500 of these parts, Yoriichi was still unable to kill the Demon King.

Additionally, he was the pioneer of Breathing Techniques, which ultimately led to humanity’s victory over Muzan. He possessed the Demon Slayer Mark from birth and passed away from natural causes. Even in his final moments, he managed to push Kokushibo to the brink of despair before succumbing to death, freezing and taking his final breath.

Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that the demon Tanjiro has not been enlisted in this list. This is due to the fact that he has not displayed significant accomplishments that could be used to reliably determine his ranking on this list.
