Rapper Yung Gravy denies sliding into Hawk Tuah Girl’s DMs & shares receipts

Yung Gravy publicly refuted Hawk Tuah Girl’s statement that he had asked her out on a date. He provided screenshots of their conversation as evidence on social media.

Ever since his rapid ascent in the music industry, American rapper Yung Gravy has been frequently associated with notable figures and has become well-known for his playful and enticing online interactions.

After her split from Joe Manganiello, Sofia Vergara was previously rumored to be dating Yung Gravy. Additionally, in 2022, he made headlines when he brought Sheri Easterling, mother of Addison Rae, as his date to the MTV Music Awards.

It came as no shock to fans when TMZ released a report stating that Hawk Tuah Girl had received a date request from Gravy through her DMs.

Hailey Welch shared in an August 19 video shared by TMZ that she declined an invitation for a date from him.

Following the rapid spread of this video, Yung Gravy utilized his account on the social media platform X (previously known as Twitter) to dispel the rumors claiming that he had asked her out on a date.

Gravy posted a caption on the X post, stating “can’t be nice anymore lol”, and also shared a screenshot of a conversation with Welch on Instagram. The screenshot revealed that her claims of him asking her out on a date were not entirely accurate.

The screenshot seemed to indicate that Welch was the person who first messaged Gravy at 1:30AM with the greeting “hello, Sir”while sliding in.

The rapper responded to her the next day, commending her and referring to her as a “certified top champ”for her recent accomplishments.

The speaker clarified that his intention in contacting her was not to manipulate or deceive her, but rather to extend an invitation for her to attend one of his upcoming shows and listen to his country music.

Welch is currently facing backlash from social media users for falsely claiming that Yung Gravy had asked her out on a date.

A user of X expressed, “Why are people acting so strange? You are truly one of the kindest individuals, always showing great respect and decency. When did it become acceptable to criticize others without valid justification?”

“Another person chimed in, stating that the individual had attempted to network with the woman, but she mistook it for a romantic date. It’s unfortunate that some people don’t recognize and appreciate professional opportunities.”

Since his response also gained widespread attention, Welch has since addressed Gravy’s original X post by posting a screenshot of their conversation and jokingly stating, “Looks like you messaged me first, haha.”

The screenshot she provided shows that, despite initially attempting to conceal it, Gravy did message her first.
