It appears that Jack Reacher now has a rival, as Season 3 has introduced a new antagonist who is even larger in size than Alan Ritchson.
“Olivier Richters, also known as “The Dutch Giant”and holder of the Guinness World record for tallest bodybuilder, has been cast as Paulie in Reacher Season 3. The character is based on the books.”
At an impressive height of 7’2″ and a weight of 353lb, he towers over his co-star Ritchson, who stands at 6’3″ and weighs approximately 230lb. While Ritchson has received acclaim for portraying the hero as he was written, Ritchers’ size puts him in a league of his own.
Paulie has been labeled as a “crazed bodybuilder security guard”for the newest antagonist of the season, Zachary Beck, as the current season is based on the book Child’s Persuader.
According to Child’s description in the novel, the man was significantly larger than the narrator. Standing at six feet five inches tall, the narrator had to carefully center himself to fit through a standard thirty-inch doorway. However, the man was even taller and wider, likely outweighing the narrator by at least two hundred pounds or more.
The casting for Paul and the series’s commitment to finding an actor larger than Ritchson and Reacher for the role have both greatly impressed fans.

One fan on X/Twitter stated that in order to raise the stakes, the team should get a player who is 7’2 and 345 pounds. For comparison, they mentioned that Alan Ritchson, who is approximately 6’3 and 240 pounds, would make a great addition. They also expressed excitement for the upcoming third season.

In Season 3, several fans have depicted the upcoming conflicts between the two characters as Godzilla taking on another Kaiju.
One fan calculated that if villain size continues to increase at the current rate, Jack will have to face off against Godzilla by Season 9. Another fan expressed their desire to see Jack take on a Kaiju and then grumbling about a broken toothbrush in his jacket, referencing Ritchers’ character.
You may recognize the new star from some of his previous roles. He portrayed Ursa in Black Widow and was credited as “Huge Machine Shack Guard”in The King’s Man. In the upcoming film adaptation of Borderlands, he will be playing the character of Krom.
