Season 3 of Reacher is already in preparation at Prime Video, with the return of Alan Ritchson, but also new faces: the cast is starting to grow.
Each season of Reacher is distinct from Lee Child’s book series and operates on its own. In the first two, the hero always leaves the city where he has wreaked havoc to become a wanderer again. And at the end of season 2, Jack Reacher sets off to explore the United States again.
It was recently announced that Reacher would be getting its season 3 and would adapt Lee Child’s book Never Forgive (or Persuade in its original version). Actor Alan Ritchson will reprise his lead role as an ex-military man and has already revealed some tidbits about the new season.
And the casting doesn’t stop there: because in addition to Ritchson, new actors have been announced for season 3, to play important characters from the original book.
Season 3 of Reacher is enriched with two new characters
Anthony Michael Hall and Sonya Cassidy will play Zachary Beck and Sarah Duffy in the third season of Reacher.
As reported by Deadline, the two actors have been cast for season 3 as key characters in Reacher’s new adventure. In the new season, Jack once again becomes embroiled in someone else’s problems: he goes undercover to save an informant.
Sarah Duffy is a badass DEA agent whose mistake lands her informant in trouble. She asks Jack Reacher for help and goes to meet Zachary Beck. Beck is described as a successful businessman, widower and father of a 20-year-old son.
“He owns a carpet import company that Reacher and his cronies suspect is a cover for a more nefarious operation,” explains Deadline.
As Ritchson announced on Instagram, the new season will take Reacher to Maine, where he will take on a crime lord’s seaside fortress. In the midst of his rescue missions and uncovering secrets, he will also have to face his own past.
Reacher season 3 does not yet have an official release date, but is expected to release in late 2024 or even early 2025.
