Sunny Marquis recently addressed a fan’s comment about her Below Deck Season 11 boatmance with Ben Willougby. The fan had referred to it as “desperate,”but Sunny clarified that they are still on good terms.
Bosun Ben Willoughby and deckhand Sunny Marquis have been involved in a complex romantic relationship on Below Deck Season 11, which has experienced numerous highs and lows.
Sunny was put off by Ben’s actions on the show when he flirted with stews Paris Field and Xandi Oliver, leading her to question his level of commitment to her.
Ben also contacted his former partner Camille Lamb from Below Deck Season 10 and even contemplated reconciling with her while ending things with Sunny.
Despite his previous decision, Ben realized that he still harbored feelings for Sunny and is currently making an effort to improve their relationship. On May 7, he shared a selfie with her on Instagram with the caption, “Crew nights out.”
Some Below Deck fans commented on the post, throwing shade at Sunny for choosing to stay with Ben. One fan even remarked, “Sunny seemed desperate in that situation.”
After another fan disagreed and told the person to “back off,”Sunny playfully responded by saying, “my mistake, Kate.”
Another viewer speculated that Ben’s return to Sunny was a result of being rejected by Camille, while another questioned if Sunny had observed Ben’s behavior on Below Deck Season 10 prior to their appearance together on the show.
Now that Ben and Sunny have publicly announced that they are in a good place, viewers will need to continue watching the rest of the season to see how their relationship evolves.
