Despite T-ARA holding a fan sign in China to commemorate their 15th anniversary, their renowned member Jiyeon was regrettably unable to attend. The reason for her absence is explained below.

In 2024, we are seeing the reunion of veteran K-pop groups! YG Entertainment has confirmed that the four members of 2NE1 are planning a world tour and comeback. Additionally, KARA has recently released a digital single, and T-ARA also has plans to reunite and celebrate their 15th debut anniversary.

To commemorate the 15th anniversary of their debut, T-ARA members Qri, Eunjung, and Hyomin traveled to Shanghai, China, for a special fan meeting. A multitude of fans were present at the event to meet and interact with their beloved idols.

Although in their 40s, their appearance gave the impression that they had not aged since their active days. Their beauty radiated even in natural footage. At the fan meeting, T-ARA dedicated a significant amount of time to conversing with fans and signing autographs.

Despite the disappointment of many, it was noted that the group’s most beloved member, Jiyeon, was absent from the event. It has been rumored that her husband’s recent scandal has led to her being more selective about her public appearances. In early June, Jiyeon’s spouse, professional baseball player Hwang Jae Gyun, was involved in a physical altercation with an opposing player during a game. His behavior sparked widespread criticism from the public.

Despite not being directly involved in the scandal, Jiyeon has also received backlash as a result. With Hwang Jae Gyun making his social media accounts private, netizens redirected their anger towards Jiyeon, leaving hurtful comments on her YouTube and Instagram. This has potentially caused Jiyeon to stay out of the public eye, even though she may have wanted to promote with T-ARA.

In the middle of May, T-ARA teased fans with a potential reunion project, causing a wave of excitement. Hyomin took to Instagram to share photos hinting at T-ARA’s 15th-anniversary project, which included behind-the-scenes shots featuring all four members. These photos quickly spread on social media, showcasing the T-ARA members together once again.

It is worth noting that Jiyeon shared photos featuring her T-ARA bandmates, accompanied by personalized name tags for each member. While the group has not actively promoted together since their 2021 comeback, each member has been pursuing their solo endeavors. As a result, there is a growing anticipation for a potential reunion of T-ARA for their 15th anniversary.
