Reasons for Kicking Passengers Off Planes, According to Flight Attendants

A well-known content creator and former flight attendant gained widespread attention on TikTok for discussing potential reasons for being denied boarding on a flight.

Sandra Jeenie Kwon, also known as jeenie.weenie on TikTok, used her platform to list nine reasons why passengers may be removed from a plane before takeoff. Kwon is a former cabin crew member who shared her insights on the matter.

The flight attendant in a TikTok video warned that if they suspect a passenger is feeling ill and may vomit during boarding, they have the right to refuse their entry onto the plane. She also reminded viewers that appearing heavily intoxicated may result in being denied boarding.

One surprising circumstance in which cabin crew may ask passengers to leave the flight is if they board without any footwear. Sandra also mentioned a particularly important consideration: “If our passengers of larger size are unable to securely fasten their seatbelt with an extender, they may be denied boarding by the flight attendants.”

If you appear heavily pregnant and are unable to provide a doctor’s note stating your stage of pregnancy or flight eligibility, you may be refused boarding.

The content creator also disclosed that flight attendants have the authority to deny boarding to passengers with overpowering body odor or individuals transporting items with unpleasant scents.

There is also a possibility of being removed from the plane if your attire is deemed “inappropriate.”This could lead to being denied boarding by certain airlines if your outfit is considered too revealing.

Finally, Sandra emphasized that flight attendants have the authority to remove any passengers who display disrespect towards them. She urged everyone to show kindness towards those around them.

Many individuals expressed their opinions in the comment section. One person wrote, “Some of these regulations seem unjust.”Another person added, “I agree with all of them except for the one about being barefoot.”

“A third commenter, who identifies as someone who suffers from motion sickness and often takes connecting flights, expressed their frustration with the first rule, stating that they have never personally encountered it.”

The recent viral TikTok video of a flight-related incident follows the popular trend of Spirit Airlines flight attendants receiving praise for their entertaining toilet paper game prior to takeoff.
