Sandra Jeenie Kwon, also known as jeenie.weenie on TikTok, used her platform to list nine reasons why passengers may be removed from a plane before takeoff. Kwon is a former cabin crew member who shared her insights on the matter.

The flight attendant in a TikTok video warned that if they suspect a passenger is feeling ill and may vomit during boarding, they have the right to refuse their entry onto the plane. She also reminded viewers that appearing heavily intoxicated may result in being denied boarding.

One surprising circumstance in which cabin crew may ask passengers to leave the flight is if they board without any footwear. Sandra also mentioned a particularly important consideration: “If our passengers of larger size are unable to securely fasten their seatbelt with an extender, they may be denied boarding by the flight attendants.”
