Despite generating a lot of buzz from its initial stages with a star-studded cast featuring Suzy, Park Bo-gum, Jung Yoo-mi, Choi Woo-sik, Tang Wei, and a special appearance by Gong Yoo, “Wonderland”ultimately did not meet expectations. The movie “Wonderland”features five central characters. Suzy and Park Bo-gum portray a couple, while Jung Yoo-mi and Choi Woo-sik play the roles of developers and operators of the ‘Wonderland’ service. Tang Wei’s character, Bai Li, is a mother who hires the service in order to communicate with her deceased daughter. Despite their strong performances, the characters failed to captivate the audience due to a lack of detailed background narratives. Additionally, some critics noted that the main characters’ stories did not intersect or overlap in a meaningful way.
Despite Suzy and Park Bo-gum’s popularity within the cast, Tang Wei was regarded as the main leading actress in the film. However, the subtle atmosphere and intricate nuances may have been challenging for Korean viewers to fully grasp.

However, the advancements showcased in “Wonderland”were predictable and the pace was slow.
