• If you failed to release her on the ship, you can locate her at the entrance of the Dank Crypt.
• If you do not choose either of these options, you will be able to locate her later in the Druid Grove.

Gale

• Race: Human
• Class: Wizard

You can locate Gale near the Roadside Cliffs on the Ravaged Beach to recruit him. Simply head towards the indicated waypoint and you will find him trapped in a portal, reaching out for assistance.

Lae’Zel is among the initial companions you will encounter in Baldur’s Gate 3, as she is aboard the Nautiloid upon your arrival. Following the crash, she can be found north of Gale’s location, as shown on the map above.

Lae’Zel is being held captive in a cage by two Tieflings. Your options are to either convince the Tieflings to leave or engage in a battle with them. Once they have been dealt with, you can release Lae’Zel by shooting the cage and ask her to join your party.

Wild

Halsin

• Class: Druid
• Background: N/A

To successfully recruit Halsin, begin by embarking on the Rescuing the Druid Halsin quest in the Emerald Grove. It is crucial to side with the Druids during this quest in order to have the opportunity to recruit Halsin later on. After completing this, proceed to the Goblin Camp where you will come across the entrance to the Worg Pens.

When you come across Halsin, he will be disguised as a bear battling a group of Goblins. If you assist him in defeating the Goblins, you can free him. However, it is important to note that although this takes place in Act 1, Halsin will not join your group until Act 2.

Once you have arrived at the Shadow Cursed Lands in Act 2, you should wake up Art Cullagh at the Last Light Inn and ask him to mention Thaniel. If you choose to rescue Thaniel, Halsin will request your assistance and will become a permanent member of your party.

Don’t forget that choosing to pursue the Halsin questline will require you to face numerous Goblins and will prove to be a challenging task. As such, it is important to be well-prepared if you want Halsin to join your team.

Minthara

• Race: Drow
• Class: Paladin
• Background: N/A

Minthara can be located in the Shattered Sanctum. To reach her chambers, take the ladder near the entrance of the Worg Pens. She is among the three Goblin Leaders that must be defeated in the Goblin Camp.

Conversing with her will give you the option to align yourself with the Goblins, resulting in the betrayal of both Druids and Tieflings. This choice will cause Karlach and Wyll to depart and prevent access to Halsin. If you do decide to support the Goblins, you will eventually find her facing trial at the Moonrise Towers, where you can potentially recruit her to your cause.

If you decide not to take on the Druid Grove, you will not be able to have her as a companion. Therefore, it is important to carefully consider your decision.

Jaheira

• Race: High half-elf
• Class: Druid
• Background: Soldier

Jaheira can be recruited at the Last Light Inn in the Shadow Cursed Lands during Act 2 only. She will most likely request your assistance in the upcoming battle at Moonrise Towers.

Whether you allow her to fight alongside you or have her lead the Harpers, it is your responsibility to ensure her survival. Once she has survived, you will have the opportunity to recruit her as a companion.

Minsk

• Race: Human
• Class: Ranger, Hunter
• Background: Folk Hero

Once you complete this task, you will unlock her companion quest. This quest will lead you to encounter Minsc in the Counting Halls. We recommend bringing Jaheira along on this quest, as it will increase your chances of successfully recruiting Minsc. It is crucial to keep Jaheira alive, as her death will prevent you from recruiting Minsc.
