Recruiting Strategies for College Football’s 25 Dynasty

Learning the effective methods of recruiting in College Football 25 Dynasty has the potential to transform a weak team into a dominant force.

The release of College Football 25 signifies the opportunity for fans to create their ultimate college powerhouse once again. However, before achieving this, mastering the art of recruiting is crucial.

Each successful school has perfected their recruitment methods, as they understand the desires of potential players, whether it is for playing time or the opportunity to win a championship. So, how can one replicate this in Dynasty Mode?

Below are our recommendations for successfully recruiting in College Football 25, just like a champion.

Tips for Recruiting in College Football Dynasty Mode

Start early

During the preseason of the game, players in Dynasty Mode have the opportunity to review the list of prospects and evaluate the high school students who will be going to college the following year. This is the perfect time to identify and prioritize the players that you desire the most.

To access the complete roster of players, navigate to the ‘Recruiting’ and ‘Prospect List’ sections. Fortunately, the board also displays the positions where coaches require the most assistance. Then, simply choose players with an A (for Xbox) or X (PlayStation) rating and include them in the recruiting board.

Furthermore, be sure to examine the origin of players from each Pipeline and their corresponding level of interest (Int.). The latter reflects a prospect’s degree of interest in attending your school.

A maximum of 35 players can be designated as targets and utilized for up to 35 scholarships per season.

Scout and uncover characteristics

Once a list of players to target has been narrowed down, the next step is to start scouting and uncovering the characteristics of those players.

To view a player’s potential, select them on the board and navigate to the ‘Scouting’ section in their profile. Utilize hours to reveal their statistics. A green jewel indicates that the player is a Gem for their star level, meaning a 4-Star Gem could perform like a 5-Star player. Conversely, a red jewel signifies a Bust, indicating that the player may not live up to their star rating. However, according to EA Sports, even 5-Star Busts can still be valuable players.

After fully scouting a player, it is important to uncover their characteristics. This can be achieved by searching their social media, direct messaging them, contacting their friends and family, and using the “sending the house”method, which requires the most amount of time. By doing these actions, we can determine what the prospect is looking for, such as Academic Prestige or Brand Exposure. We will delve deeper into this topic shortly.

Make sure to consult the right-hand site and see what interests a player the most.

A green box next to a category indicates that the player values that particular attribute of the school, while a red box indicates that the prospect does not place importance on it.

Don’t waste hours

Due to the limited number of hours available in-game, it is important to use them wisely and be cautious with how they are spent.

During the regular season, players are allotted a specific amount of time for scouting, recruiting, and other tasks. However, in the offseason, additional hours will be provided, including a four-week period for signing and utilizing the Transfer Portal after the season.

Despite the Recruiter Archetype and Always Be Crootin’ active, coaches are restricted in the amount of time they can dedicate to a recruit. Typically, only 50 hours can be utilized for recruiting efforts, excluding scheduled visits. However, those at Tier 3 of a position ability can receive an extra 15 hours.

One should take one or two actions before attempting to Sell or Sway a player. These actions include searching social media and contacting friends and family in order to uncover the player’s character traits. Once the player has narrowed down their list of potential schools, a broad pitch (Sell) or specific pitch (Sway) can be presented.

Whatever option you decide on, whether it be Sell or Sway, ensure that you are selling players based on the university’s strengths and the green check boxes located on the right-hand side.

Schedule a visit

As previously stated, it is important to schedule a visit with a player as soon as you are committed to recruiting them. However, it is also beneficial to space out the visits due to the limited availability of hours for booking each one.

Select a preferred activity for the player and strive to secure a victory when a highly sought-after prospect visits during game week. A defeat could potentially lead to a decline in interest.

An important point to remember is that a visit cannot be scheduled until a prospect reaches the top five schools.

Don’t chase after an unattainable player

Within the recruiting board, Dynasty Mode coaches have access to the top schools that a highly sought-after prospect is considering. As the year progresses, the prospect will gradually shorten his list to the top eight and then to the top five, giving schools the opportunity to step up their recruiting efforts during these critical stages.

Despite this, it is crucial to exercise caution and avoid being overly assertive.

The interest bars are crucial to know how close you are landing a player. The larger the bar, the closer you’ll be towards making the next cut.

If a school’s chances of recruiting a prospect are significantly lower than those of a rival school, it may be wise to abandon the pursuit. Overcoming a significant disadvantage can be difficult, although not impossible. Attempting to recruit an unattainable player will only result in a loss of resources that cannot be recovered.

Prestige and Success Matters

Being highly prestigious and successful in games can make all the difference in recruiting.

School grades CFB 25

Each school has unique characteristics that can give you a recruiting edge.

Now, let’s return to discussing those character traits. These traits are shaped by the prospect’s perception of the school’s priorities and qualities. To access this information during the recruiting process, navigate to ‘My School’ section. Here, you will discover the specific areas where your school excels.

Each school will receive a grade in 14 specified categories, which encompass:

  • Playing Time: This refers to the amount of time it will take for a player to earn a starting position within their position group, and is determined based on their position and overall rating.
  • Playing Style: This refers to your unique approach to the game. Each player archetype has a specific stat that is monitored throughout the season. Your grade is determined by how your stat compares to those of other teams. For instance, the grade for Field General quarterbacks is based on their average passing yards per game.
  • Championship Contender: This metric evaluates a team’s likelihood of winning a championship based on their current ranking and roster composition.
  • Program Tradition: This refers to a comprehensive understanding of a program’s past and its success throughout the years, determined by factors such as the number of Conference and National Championships, total wins, and awards earned.
  • The campus lifestyle encompasses the campus itself, as well as its surrounding city and area. This grade is not subject to change or influence.
  • Stadium Atmosphere: This is driven by the stadium’s Toughest Places to Play ranking, which is determined by a team’s historical performance in home games.
  • Potential for the Pros: This refers to the likelihood that players on the current roster will have the opportunity to play in professional leagues.
  • Brand Exposure: This metric assesses a team’s overall brand recognition, as well as the potential opportunities for NIL deals available to players at the school. It also takes into account the frequency with which the school appears in primetime games.
  • Academic Prestige: This evaluates universities according to established academic rankings. This assessment is not subject to alteration.
  • Conference Prestige: This reflects the collective strength of a conference, determined by the team prestige of each member.
  • Coaching Prestige: This factor reflects the quality of the coaching staff at the school. While the Head Coach holds the most influence, the performance of coordinators is also considered.
  • Coaching Staff Tenure: This factor evaluates the length of time the coaching staff has been together and their potential for staying in their positions for the next four years.
  • The quality of athletic facilities for the program is evaluated in this category. Additional amenities such as waterfalls and barbershops are considered a bonus.
  • Home Proximity: This grade is individualized for each recruit and reflects the distance between the school and the recruit’s hometown pipeline.

Remember that a high grade in a category, along with a green check box, gives your school an advantage in terms of recruitment for that particular school attribute.

Certain aspects of a university’s profile can be altered. The Championship Contender trait can be strengthened by the school’s drive to succeed. In contrast, factors such as Campus Lifestyle and Academic Prestige are determined by the university’s performance in non-athletic fields. Therefore, institutions like Stanford and Northwestern have a superior advantage in academic excellence.

It is important to excel in the categories that you have the ability to improve. Keep in mind that winning games will enhance Coach Prestige.

Upgrade Coach Statistics

One important piece of advice for effectively recruiting in College Football 25 is to utilize Coach Points. This tip focuses on utilizing a specific tool rather than the actual recruiting process itself.

Each week, coaches will increase their XP level, which will allow them to access Coach Points (CP) in the ‘Coach Abilities’ section.

Perks CFB 25

It is essential to upgrade Archetype Perks in order to improve in-game attributes and receive recruiting bonuses. Furthermore, players with the Elite Recruiter Archetype, which is attainable through two top-five recruiting classes, can offer even greater bonuses.

Watch for Deal Breakers

Each potential student has a specific factor that could prevent them from choosing to attend our campus. This factor, known as a Deal Breaker, can range from promised playing time to proximity to their home, brand recognition, and the reputation of our coaches. These factors are unique to each student and can greatly influence their decision.

It is important to note that certain factors, such as where you are from and your personal preferences, can greatly influence your decisions. For instance, a 4-Star recruit from New Jersey who strongly desires to remain close to home is unlikely to choose a school in California. It is essential to be aware of these dynamics, otherwise you may end up wasting valuable time.

Make use of the Transfer Portal

Finally, it is important to also utilize the Transfer Portal, which is the last element in effectively recruiting for College Football 25.

The Transfer Portal is primarily composed of players from other schools who are seeking a more suitable situation, although redshirt freshmen may also be found in it. This process may be challenging for certain coaches, especially those who lose players, but it can also be advantageous for those who are able to recruit highly rated 4-Star or 5-Star players who are looking to play.

Prospect recruiting functions similarly to this process. You will have to search for potential prospects, gather information, make a pitch, and secure a commitment, all within a four-week timeframe. Just as in in-season recruiting, you will extend a scholarship offer to a desired player. After that, conduct thorough research, arrange a campus visit, and ultimately aim to secure their commitment.

In Dynasty Mode, this is the method by which 25 players in College Football can be recruited.
