Red Dead Redemption 2 Actor Shares His Preferred Ending for Arthur Morgan

According to the voice actor for Arthur Morgan, Red Dead Redemption 2 has several possible endings for players to select, but he has now disclosed his preferred “canon”ending.

According to its impressive sales and ranking on the list of best-selling videogames of all time, Red Dead Redemption 2 is widely recognized as one of the greatest games ever made. Since its release in 2018, this classic title has sold over 65 million copies and currently holds the number seven spot on the list.

Red Dead Redemption 2’s appeal lies in its main character, Arthur Morgan, a rough cowboy who has captured the affection of numerous fans.

Red Dead is a sprawling open-world game that offers a variety of endings, each determined by the choices made by the player during their playthrough.

In the final stages of Red Dead 2, players must make a decision between assuming the role of John Marston, the main character of the previous game, or turning against him.

This pivotal moment culminates in a fierce shootout between Dutch’s gang and the Pinkertons. As the showdown unfolds, you can choose to assist John in escaping and reuniting with his family, or attempt to seize the money from the Blackwater heist.

During an interview with Gamology, Roger Clark, the voice actor for Arthur Morgan, discussed the four different endings of Red Dead 2 and shared his preferred ending, which earned him a nomination for a BAFTA game award.

“The voice actor started by mentioning that Arthur has four distinct endings, as you may already be aware of.”

There are two versions of honorable actions when it comes to helping John and going back for the money. Personally, I don’t see the purpose in going back for the money. Arthur’s time is limited, so what good will money do him in the end?

It would be best if he assisted John. In my opinion, returning to aid John with great honor is my preferred ending.

Despite Red Dead being a beloved and top-selling franchise for developer Rockstar, the company has primarily focused on other projects and put discussions of a third game on hold.

Despite being occupied with developing GTA 6, Rockstar has managed to release a record-breaking announcement trailer in 2024, suggesting that the game will be one of the most highly anticipated video game releases in history.
