Michael Douse, the Publishing Director for Larian Studios, the creators of Baldur’s Gate 3, even suggested that video games should inherently be priced higher, but developers might be waiting for GTA 6 to set that new standard.
In 2023, rumors circulated that the anticipated GTA VI could carry a staggering price tag of $150, especially given the extensive investment in its development.
