On June 24, Red Velvet had scheduled the release of their MV for their new title track, “Cosmic”, at 6PM (KST). This is a highly significant release, as it marks the 10th debut anniversary of the girl group and their special comeback album.
Despite the album being released on music sites and dance challenge videos being posted on TikTok, fans were still unable to find the “Cosmic”MV. SM explained that the delay was to improve the quality of the MV.
Furthermore, Joy from Red Velvet made an appearance on the fan communication platform “Bubble”and indirectly criticized SM Entertainment, stating, “Unfortunately, our opinions were not taken into account and we were left waiting. Eventually, we watched the music video without any changes being made. I am limited in what I can say, so I will remain silent.”
Despite SM Entertainment’s delay of the “Cosmic”MV, fans were even more frustrated by Joy’s words, causing their dissatisfaction to spread across various Internet platforms. Countless negative comments were directed towards the company.
