Kim Ye-rim has been cast in the lead role of “Park Ja-young” in the upcoming mystery horror film Next, directed by Son Dong-wan. This film revolves around a group of school friends who inadvertently summon a ghost during a séance. She has confirmed her participation and has already started filming.
In Next, Kim Ye-rim portrays “Park Ja-young,” the responsible class president of 3rd-year class 5, who engages in the séance to uncover the truth behind her missing sister. As bizarre occurrences unfold after the séance, Park Ja-young must defend her classmates while leading their fight for survival.
Kim Ye-rim, widely loved by global fans as a member of Red Velvet, has also ventured into acting with notable projects such as Mint Condition and Blue Birthday. Recently, she captivated audiences with her solid acting and charismatic presence in Cheongdam International High School, further raising expectations for her portrayal in Next.
Regarding her new role, Kim Ye-rim expressed, “I’ve always been interested in the horror genre, and I’m thrilled to seize this opportunity.
