Despite its incredible synergy with Titan builds, another Strand Sidearm has gone largely unnoticed among Destiny 2 players who are heavily focused on The Call. However, this weapon is a must-have for any player seeking to optimize their Titan build.
In the episode “Echoes,”several new and formidable weapons were introduced, including the Timeworn Wayfarer and the reprised Line in the Sand. However, one reissued weapon stands out as a must-have for all Titan mains: the Breachlight, which is highly sought after and well worth farming.
The Strand Sidearm is highly compatible with popular Titan loadouts, specifically those that incorporate Banner of War. This is due to the exceptional combination of Pugilist and Swashbuckler perks, which synergize to greatly enhance the effectiveness of Breachlight.
Pugilist triggers the generation of Melee Ability Energy by securing Final Blows with Beachlight, while Swashbuckler grants a damage buff that stacks with each kill. One of Swashbuckler’s greatest strengths is its ability to instantly grant five stacks with any Melee Kill, resulting in a significant 33% increase in damage. Furthermore, this damage perk can be further improved, extending its duration from 4.5 seconds to 6.5 seconds.
This is the perfect Breachlight roll you should farm for:
- Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
- Magazine: Tactical Mag
- Column Three: Pugilist
- Column Four: Swashbuckler
- Origin Trait: Cast No Shadows
To effectively utilize this perk combination, it is recommended that Titan mains initiate with a powerful Melee strike to activate Swashbuckler, followed by using the enhanced damage of Breachlight to consecutively eliminate enemies and activate Pugilist. This will allow for a speedy recharge of the Melee ability.
Continue utilizing Melee-oriented Aspects and Fragments such as Banner of War, Facet of Blessing, and Consecration to maximize your gameplay loop, depending on your selected subclass. Keep in mind that Breachlight is a highly adaptable weapon that complements various meta Titan builds.
Furthermore, Breachlight’s Cast No Shadows Origin Trait enhances weapon handling and allows for ammo to be reloaded from reserves upon dealing melee damage. This feature reduces the frequency of reloading, resulting in a seamless gameplay experience.
Breachlight can be obtained as a drop from seasonal activities such as Breach Executable and Enigma Protocol. Alternatively, players can focus the Strand Sidearm at the H.E.L.M by speaking to Failsafe V1.0, with a cost of x4 Echo Engrams and x3,000 Glimmer each.
