Recap of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 4

Starting off where the previous episode left off, episode 4 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime’s third season, titled Each Respective Role, sees Rimuru inquiring his executives about any potential changes in the monster eco-system.

Souei updates him on the situation, explaining that they were able to subdue a rampaging Sword Grizzly in the forest. Rimuru is relieved, but also realizes the need to address the increasing number of monsters in their nation. In response, Vesta proposes the idea of installing Anti-Magic Barriers along the highways.

When Rimuru inquires, he discloses that he and Kaijin have constructed a completely automated magic generator capable of producing a barrier by gathering magicules from the atmosphere. This invention is ideal due to the fact that the monster nation’s air is rich in magicule concentration.

Veldora inquires Rimuru if he may release his aura (magicule). Despite the slime’s refusal, as it could potentially wipe out an entire nation, Rimuru is informed by Diablo in a later scene that Edmaris has been instructing Youm in royal etiquette. As the demon butler reports this information, Rimuru assumes his role as the demon lord.

Diablo also relays to Rimuru that he has been unable to maintain contact with Reyhiem. According to Diablo, his subordinates have dispatched the Archbishop to the Holy Kingdom of Lubelius with the message from Rimuru. Despite not yet receiving any news of his return, Diablo assures the slime that Reyhiem is still alive.

Afterward, Rimuru and his executives deliberate on Hinata Sakugachi’s true motives. Through a collaborative effort, the slime comes to the realization that there are multiple orchestrators involved. In other words, he believes that Hinata was not acting of her own accord when she attacked him.
