Remnant 2: Dark Horizon Spark Quest Walkthrough and Tips

In the Dark Horizon DLC of Remnant 2, players can engage in various optional side quests, including the intriguing Spark questline. You can initiate Spark’s questline by finding the robot itself, which might be located in one of three specific spots. Since Spark relocates between these locations, its precise whereabouts will differ each time.

Locating it early will help you activate the questline more quickly. All potential spots for Spark can be found within the Withered Necropolis area of N’Erud in Remnant 2.

At the Waylaid Conservatory, you’ll spot a World Stone nearby, along with the NPC known as the Gardener. This should be your first destination when searching for Spark. There’s a glider drone adjacent to the Gardener; interact with it to glide down to the lower left area. You’ll find Spark tucked in the corner there.

The second location where Spark might appear is situated near the World Stone at the Dilapidated Auditorium. A glider drone can be seen at a ledge overlooking a collapsed bridge. You need to head towards a small overhead balcony above that bridge.

First, utilize the glider drone to ascend to this ledge. From that height, catch another updraft to propel yourself even higher, allowing access to the balcony. Once inside, follow the corridor, and you will find Spark on your right. Don’t forget to collect the Nanoplated Armor Set if you haven’t done so already.

The last and third place where you can find Spark is also near the Nanoplated Armor Set. Exit the building, turn to the left, and look for a locked door in the corner—this is another spawn point for Spark.

Upon finding Spark, no matter its location, be sure to explore all dialogue options. Spark’s eagerness to discover Earth prompts interaction, especially when asked about visiting the planet. In your first conversation with Spark, choose the following responses:

  • “Would you like to go to Earth with me?”
  • “What if I get rid of the voice?”

The phrase “get rid of the voice” refers to defeating Alepsis-Taura, the final boss of the DLC. To advance Spark’s questline, you must first conquer Alepsis-Taura and then revisit Spark. After this, interact with the robot again at any location mentioned above, selecting the following response:

  • “You can come to Earth with me” dialogue option.

After you complete the quest, head to Ward 13, where Spark will have moved. At this time, Spark will no longer function as an NPC for conversation—it has transformed into a merchant offering a selection of enigmatic items.

You can find Spark just outside the circular platform of the World Stone, adjacent to a broken wall.

Gathering New Materials

Upon your initial interaction with Spark in Ward 13, you will acquire the Alloy Extractor item. This indicates that there are specific valuable materials that Spark requires you to retrieve and bring back to its shop.

You will need to head back to all three realms—Losomn, Yaesha, and N’Erud—and start defeating enemies. There’s a good chance of obtaining Ancient Alloy from Yaesha, Mythril Alloy from Losomn, and Alien Alloy from N’Erud after you receive the Alloy Extractor from Spark.

Unlocking the Redeemer in Remnant 2

Once you have gathered all the new materials with the help of the Alloy Extractor, return to Spark. Items that were previously labeled as ‘???’ in the robot’s inventory will now be identifiable by name. Start crafting each item, ensuring you collect enough Alien Alloys.

Next, purchase the Rings and Amulets available from Spark. Once you acquire enough of these, the robot will present you with the Redeemer weapon in Remnant 2.

The Redeemer is a Hand Gun that features a unique weapon mod called ‘Aftermath.’ This mod allows the weapon to absorb the effect of an equipped Relic whenever the owner uses it, storing it for a launchable payload. When fired, the payload can explode within a 4-meter radius upon contact with a human ally or remain inactive for up to 15 seconds, waiting for an ally to approach. Only one Relic effect can be stored at any given moment.
