Recap of Episode 9 of Re:Monster
The ninth episode of Re:Monster opens with Gobrou guiding his former human captives back to their hometown. Disguised in simple outfits, Gobrou makes it clear that his former captives now have the freedom to either return to their normal lives or continue aiding him.
Despite Gobrou’s hope that his companions will continue to accompany him, he refrains from expressing it out loud. Later on, he goes to the adventurer guild to obtain permits for himself and his companions, managing to do so without facing much opposition.
Gobrou then transforms into a human adventurer and embarks on a patrol in the town. While on patrol, he rescues a human princess from a kidnapping attempt and is subsequently hired by her as her companion.
During their travels as envoy and escort, Gobrou and the princess form a stronger bond. As they encounter a valley occupied by a group of eagles, with a Jade Eagle as their leader, Gobrou becomes aware of the bird’s intimidating reputation and unique qualities. He ultimately makes the decision to conquer and consume the Jade Eagle.
The journey comes to an end as Gobrou successfully takes down a formidable Jade Eagle. Despite the challenges posed by the Jade Eagle in his base form, Gobrou quickly overpowers it by utilizing the remainder of his powers.
