The fourth episode of Re:Monster begins with Gobrou waking up and immediately sensing a group of elves approaching his cave. He is soon informed of the new visitors and proceeds to meet them.

Despite Gobrou’s initial lack of hostility or disrespect, the elf representative begins to insult both Gobrou and the other goblins, while also offering them the opportunity to work for him. The elf explains that in exchange for their assistance in a potential war against humans, he will supply the goblins with food rations for a month.

Despite acknowledging the elves’ paranoia and the real possibility of war, Gobrou declines their offer. He expresses his belief that the elves should have shown more courtesy and respect towards him and the goblins if they wanted their assistance. The tension between the two groups quickly escalates into a minor altercation, causing the elves to retreat after Gobrou issues a threat.

The following morning, Gobrou is surprised to find that Gobukichi has transformed into a red ogre, a unique type of ogre. Gobukichi proceeds to challenge Gobrou to a duel, which Gobrou emerges victorious from. This clash strengthens their rivalry and further strengthens their bond.

In the later part of the episode, Gobrou embarks on a hunt with the red-haired human girl and makes a surprising discovery – she also possesses the unique ability to acquire skills by consuming monsters. The episode concludes with additional goblins evolving into advanced species and gaining access to roles such as clerics and mages, just like Gobrou.
