In episode 5 of Re:Monster, Gobrou and Gobukichi venture into the forest and stumble upon a group of human soldiers. Gobrou secretly observes their actions and discovers their intention to abduct the elf royalty, which would only worsen the ongoing conflict between humans and elves. Before long, the humans encounter a battalion of elves and a fight breaks out.

Despite the complete destruction of the elf guards, Gobrou merely watches from the sidelines. However, he eventually joins the battle and quickly defeats every human soldier, ensuring the safety of the Royal Elf envoy. Later, Gobrou learns that the envoy is a princess and escorts her back to her village.

Upon returning the princess, Gobrou informed the elf king that his intentions for rescuing and returning her were not out of kindness. In return, the elf king presented Gobrou with a bow magic item as recompense. Gobrou then disclosed that his actions were a test of the elf king’s character and proceeded to share crucial information regarding the movement of the human troops. This ultimately led to the formation of an alliance between the elves and goblins.

In a later scene, Gobmi undergoes a transformation into a Damphir variant, taking on a much more human-like form. Similarly, other goblins such as Gobsato and Gobe had also evolved into higher beings. The episode concludes with the goblins preparing for war against the humans, following a request from the elves.
