Season 1 Recap
Despite finally getting a well-deserved vacation with Harper and Jordi by the end of the first season, Erin’s newfound tranquility was short-lived as her former boss, Detective Inspector Jim Armstrong, unexpectedly showed up and hinted that she may be required for duty once more.
Rewinding back, Erin played a crucial role as a witness in a robbery that took place at a grocery store. Subsequently, the assailants identified her and made it their mission to silence her in a brutal manner.
Despite her efforts, things don’t quite go as planned. Erin resorts to fighting and killing her way out of danger, engaging in multiple shootouts, jumping off balconies, and disposing of bodies.
During her journey, Erin witnesses her police officer neighbor, Emilio, being stabbed by Daniel Lang. She is then unexpectedly reunited with Lena, a well-known criminal who is revealed to be Harper’s mother. It is revealed that Erin, also known as Kate Jones, was an undercover police officer who had informed on Lena and her gang in order to prevent a robbery in England.
After rescuing Harper from a destructive lifestyle and ensuring Lena’s imprisonment, Lena has returned with a desire for revenge. She shoots Erin and abandons her, believing her to be dead. However, when Lang apprehends her, Lena reveals a secret that causes even more turmoil for the Carter family.
With Jordi and Harper taken by Lang’s men, Lena and Erin (now healed from her gunshot injury) join forces. At the boatyard, Lena puts herself in harm’s way to protect her daughter, while Erin successfully eliminates Daniel Lang and escapes with her loved ones.
Despite leaving one mess behind, Erin’s past continues to haunt her, leaving the possibility for the story to continue.
