Following the 7th anniversary of the original manga serialization, it was announced that Rent a Girlfriend Season 4 will be airing in 2025 as part of a “special announcement.”The specific broadcast dates have not yet been revealed.

The announcement was accompanied by a trailer and a production visual, and it was noted that the 37th volume of the manga will be released on July 17.

Important Update

A special announcement was released in the form of a trailer featuring original illustrations by Reiji Miyajima. The trailer showcases a series of illustrations from the original work, highlighting memorable scenes from the previous season.

The visuals then transition to reveal season 4 and share a few details about it. This is followed by images of Chizuru, Mami, and Ruka in swimsuits, as well as other illustrations from the manga.

The announcement of Season 4 also included a visual drawn by the original author, Reiji Miyajima. This visual depicts the main characters, Kazuya and Chizuru, dressed in outfits that complement the upcoming Hawaiian arc of the anime, and holding hands.

Chizuru is depicted holding up four fingers while her other hand is entwined with Kazuya, while the background features various other characters from the show.

How to Watch Rent a Girlfriend Season 2?

As previous seasons were available for streaming on Crunchyroll, it is anticipated that the upcoming season will also be available on the platform. The third season was included in the Summer 2023 anime lineup.

Expected Plot

Following the impactful and life-changing events of season 3, the fourth season centers around the Hawaii Trip storyline. As stated in the special announcement video, the upcoming season will showcase the journey to Hawaii through illustrations.

The image also depicts Kazuya and Chizuru dressed in attire that is reminiscent of their Hawaii trip, indicating that there will likely be further growth and strengthening of the bond between the two characters.

The third season commences with Kazuya and Chizuru taking on the project of making a movie for Sayuri. They are joined by their new neighbor, Mini Yaemori, who lends a helping hand in the production. Kazuya is tasked with explaining their movie plans to Ruka, who unexpectedly finds Chizuru in his room. Throughout the process, both Kazuya and Chizuru experience a range of emotions.

Upon discovering that Kazuya and Chizuru needed to visit the cinema, Sayuri eagerly joined them. As she watched Chizuru on the big screen, Sayuri was overcome with emotion. As the story progressed, Sayuri suddenly collapsed and Chizuru went through a tumultuous emotional journey. Tragically, Sayuri passed away, and Chizuru, determined to stay strong, suppressed her feelings and put on a brave facade.

Kazuya plans a date to uplift Chizuru’s spirits and notices her attempts to conceal her feelings. He shares his vision of a perfect girlfriend with her and eventually, Chizuru begins to open up. The movie screening goes well, and Kazuya inquires if she wishes to pursue acting further, to which she responds that she aspires to become a star for Sayuri.

The Japanese manga series Rent-A-Girlfriend, written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima, is also known as Kanojo, Okarishimasu. It has been published in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since July 2017 and currently has thirty compiled volumes as of February 2023.

A manga spinoff titled “Rent-A-(Extremely Timid!)-Girlfriend”has been in serialization since June 21, 2020, featuring the character Sumi. The Animeism block premiered an anime television series adaptation by TMS Entertainment in July 2020.

After dating for approximately a month, Kazuya Kinoshita is suddenly dumped by his girlfriend, Mami Nanami. In response, he turns to an online app to rent a girlfriend, specifically choosing the beautiful and alluring Chizuru Mizuhara.

As their lives become more complex and intertwined, the story continues to unfold. Eventually, additional girls from the girlfriend business also become involved, dating and expressing interest in Kazuya.
