On May 14, it was reported by Koreaboo that Go Kyung Pyo, famous for his role in “Reply 1988” , had become the talk of Korean social media after making an appearance at a promotional event for “Frankly Speaking.” He was seen with a double chin and a rounder face, appearing plumper than his previous appearance at a press conference in late April.
A particular aspect that caught the attention of many netizens was Go Kyung Pyo’s unique hairstyle. It was speculated that his inspiration came from two characters, namely Jin Joo from “Reply 1988″and teacher Chu Jeong Ho from “The Glory”. In an interview, Go Kyung Pyo revealed the reason behind his new hairstyle, saying, “I had actually wanted to try the hime cut and even made a sketch for it. However, due to the limitations of my hair length, the side hair only stopped at my cheeks instead of reaching my mouth like a true hime cut.”
Recently, Go Kyung Pyo’s significant weight transformation has been the talk of the town. His remarkable weight loss was the main topic on social media after his appearance at the “Frankly Speaking” press conference in late April. Prior to this, he had weighed almost 100kg.
In February of this year, during his appearance on Junggigo’s talk show, Go Kyung Pyo surprised viewers with his round face. During the show, the actor disclosed that he was weighing 93kg and expressed his determination to shed the extra weight.
Go Kyung Pyo, who was born in 1990, made his official debut at the age of 20. He started to gain recognition in South Korea after appearing on the popular TV show “SNL Korea”in 2012 and taking on a supporting role in the sitcom “Potato Star 2013QR3″in 2013. However, it wasn’t until 2016, with the massive success of the TV series “Reply 1988,”that he became internationally known. In the years since, the actor has continued to excel, most notably in the film “6/45.”
