Report: Grand Blue Season 2 in Production

SugoiLITE, in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) on May 7, 2024 at 11:42 p.m. JST, stated that Grand Blue season 2 is currently in the production stage.

It is clear that there is a great deal of anticipation among fans as SugoiLITE has gained a large following from the anime and manga communities due to its reputation as a reliable source for leaks.

The manga, published by Kodansha, gained widespread popularity after an anime adaptation was released in 2018.

What to expect from Grand Blue season 2?

With the first installment of the series receiving an overwhelmingly positive reception, fans can rest assured that the same animation studio, Zero-G, will be producing the second installment. Additionally, reputable leaker @d0nut2x has also confirmed that the second installment of the anime will have the same director at the helm.

According to leaked information, Shinji Takamatsu will continue directing Grand Blue season 2, while Hideoki Kusama will once again be responsible for the character design. Kusama also handled the character design for the first season of the anime series.

The second season of Grand Blue will continue to highlight the interactions between its characters. The majority of their comedic moments are a result of Iori’s interactions with his fellow diving club members and college classmates.

As the second season approaches, viewers can expect to see a shift in focus towards Iori’s life as a college student. This change may take some attention away from the diving club activities, providing the perfect opportunity to learn about the streaming details of the first season before the release of Grand Blue season 2.

It is important to note that there is a fee to access the stream. Therefore, viewers must subscribe to the platform’s paid services in order to watch it.

To get a head start on Grand Blue season 2, fans can read chapter 22 which is the start of volume 6. This chapter centers around a party thrown by the female members of the diving club.

The beginning of this story can be traced back to an observation made by Aina. She noticed that the boys in the club were always having drinking parties and she felt that it was about time they had some fun as well. This will likely be the focus of the first episode when Grand Blue season 2 is animated and released.

Keep an eye out for additional updates on anime and manga throughout the year 2024.
