Resignation of Dr Disrespect’s Editor Before His Return

After collaborating for more than six years, Dr Disrespect’s video editor has decided to leave the team, just before the streamer’s return from his vacation.

In 2020, Herschel ‘Guy’ Beahm, better known as Dr Disrespect, was banned from Twitch. However, the reason for his ban was not made public until June 2024 when he confessed to sending inappropriate messages to a minor on the platform.

After declaring a break from the internet, he stayed silent until July 31 when he ended his social media hiatus by sharing a photo of himself sitting at a checkerboard. During his preparations for his comeback, Doc changed his X banner multiple times and finally revealed the end of his vacation on September 3, 2024.

On that very same day, it was announced that Dr Disrespect’s editor of six years would be departing from the team, marking the end of their longstanding collaboration in creating content for the popular YouTube personality.

Despite the tumultuous events of the past few months, I remain immensely proud of the accomplishments I have achieved. However, I have come to the realization that it is time for me to embark on a new journey. Therefore, after more than six years, I bid farewell to the Dr Disrespect persona and look forward to what the future holds. I would also like to express my gratitude to all those who have collaborated with me along the way.

“Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to the Champions Club for their unwavering support throughout the years. I have made many friends and shared countless wonderful moments with this amazing community.”

Following Doc’s revelation about the cause of his Twitch ban in 2020, numerous companies and fellow streamers voiced their disapproval and criticism of his actions.

In separate videos, TimTheTatman and NICKMERCS, two of his closest collaborators, expressed that they could no longer continue to support him. And they were not alone, as many others also shared similar sentiments.

Despite Doc’s strong support for the San Francisco 49ers, the team announced in a statement that they will no longer be collaborating with the streamer. This decision comes after multiple collaborations, including Doc’s invitation to the team’s camp in August 2022.

Despite his potential return to streaming on YouTube, he will not be able to generate any income from his content as he has already been completely demonetized on the platform.
