Resolving Controller Problems in Throne and Liberty on PC

Throne and Liberty, the highly anticipated MMORPG from Amazon Games and NCSOFT, has officially launched on PC and consoles. As with many game launches, players are encountering a variety of technical issues. Fortunately, Throne and Liberty offers controller support on PC, and while its interface may need some improvements, it mostly functions well. If you’re experiencing difficulties with your controllers, follow this guide to resolve controller issues in Throne and Liberty.

Resolving Controller Issues in Throne and Liberty

To address the controller problems in Throne and Liberty, you should disable Steam Input, particularly if you’re using PlayStation controllers. The game includes native support for these controllers, but for optimal use, a wired connection is recommended.

  • Ensure that Throne and Liberty is not running
  • Open Steam and go to your Library
  • Right-click on Throne and Liberty and choose Properties
  • In the Controller tab, select the Disable Steam Input option under Override Throne and Liberty

Disabling Steam Input will allow the game to load its native profiles, which means the correct PlayStation button prompts will be displayed in-game, enhancing your gaming experience.

Using a Wired Connection for PlayStation Controllers

If you’re utilizing a DualShock 4 or DualSense controller, it’s essential to use a wired connection in addition to disabling Steam Input, as the game functions best this way.

For users of the DualSense Edge, you may still need to enable Steam Input as it may not work effectively with it disabled.

Verifying Detected Controllers

If your controllers are still not operational, confirm that Steam is detecting them. To check the detected controllers in the Steam client, navigate to Steam > Settings > Controller:
