Resolving Missing Encryption Token Errors in Satisfactory: A Step-by-Step Guide

Satisfactory 1.0 is finally available on PC, marking the culmination of nearly five years of development by the studio. The full release introduces a wealth of new features and content for players to delve into, although it does come with some technical challenges. If you are managing a dedicated server for Satisfactory and encounter the “Encryption Token Missing” error, here’s how to resolve it.

Fixing the Satisfactory Encryption Token Missing Error

Managing a dedicated server in Satisfactory requires familiarity with the various ports that need to be forwarded for optimal server functionality. The 1.0 update has introduced a crucial addition to the port settings that requires user attention.

  • The server API now operates on TCP instead of UDP, necessitating the forwarding of ports 7777 (Game Port), 15000 (Beacon Port), and 15777 (Query Port) to both UDP and TCP on your router.
  • It is essential to forward all three ports to both UDP and TCP for dedicated servers to function properly.

Once you have forwarded all three ports to both UDP and TCP, your dedicated server in Satisfactory should operate as intended. Additionally, utilizing the Server Manager within the game can enhance your server management experience.

If you only forward the 7777 port, access will be limited to your local server instance, undermining the purpose of the dedicated server. However, by also forwarding 15000 and 15777, other players can easily join your game. Most players should be able to successfully start their servers after making these adjustments.

Beyond server issues, if you experience any crashes, particularly those related to Unreal Engine in Satisfactory, a minor adjustment to the launch options can help resolve this issue as well.
