Delta Force has officially launched on PC, employing Tencent’s Anti-Cheat Expert (ACE) to effectively tackle cheating and hacking. While this anti-cheat solution largely performs well, it can occasionally introduce stability issues, a challenge common to many anti-cheat systems, especially those functioning at the kernel level. If you encounter the “ACE Center Exception Error”while trying to engage in Delta Force gameplay, this guide will provide you with effective solutions to resolve the issue.
Resolving the ACE Center Exception Error in Delta Force
To remedy the “ACE Center Exception Error,”players need to reinstall the ACE software on their PC. This procedure is straightforward and effectively resets the anti-cheat functionality to its original state. If issues persist, further modifications to the service settings in Windows may be necessary.
Step 1: Reinstall ACE
- Ensure that Delta Force is not currently active.
- Launch Steam, then right-click on Delta Force.
- Choose Manage followed by Browse local files.
- Locate the following directory:
Delta Force\Game\DeltaForce\Binaries\Win64\AntiCheatExpert
- Within the AntiCheatExpert folder, launch ACE-Setup64.exe.
- This action will uninstall and subsequently reinstall the ACE software.
Once the process is complete, reopen Delta Force to determine if the error persists.
For an added layer of assurance, consider verifying the integrity of game files to ensure all components are intact.
- Open Steam and navigate to your Library.
- Right-click on Delta Force and select Properties.
- In the Installed Files tab, click on Verify integrity of game files.
Step 2: Adjust the ACE Service Settings in Windows
If reinstalling ACE does not resolve the issue, consider adjusting the behavior of the anti-cheat service within Windows so that it launches automatically.
- Type Services in the Windows Search bar and open the resulting application.
- Locate the following services:
AntiCheatExpert Protection, AntiCheatExpert Services
- Right-click on each service and select Properties.
- For Startup Type, choose “Automatic“.
- Repeat this for both services, clicking OK for each change.
After completing these changes, restart your computer and relaunch Delta Force. The ACE service should now function correctly, eliminating any exception errors.
Step 3: General Network Troubleshooting
Should the issue be related to your network connection, we suggest implementing the following troubleshooting steps:
- Disable any VPN services.
- Restart your modem or router.
- Disconnect and reconnect the LAN cable.
- Flush your DNS by following these steps:
- Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
- Input the command: ipconfig /flushdns.
- Restart your PC afterwards.
For the majority of users, however, simply reinstalling the ACE service effectively resolves the problem.
