Satisfactory has officially launched after nearly five years in early access, and the full release introduces a wealth of new systems, optimizations, and content for both new and returning players. Although numerous technical issues have been addressed with the 1.0 release, ultrawide support still needs improvement. Fortunately, a patch from Rose in the widescreen community has been released to tackle these issues in Satisfactory 1.0.
Fixing the Satisfactory 1.0 Ultrawide Issues
This patch by Rose enhances the hands model view and implements vertical FOV scaling for all scenes, including the main menu when playing Satisfactory 1.0 in ultrawide mode.
Installation is quite straightforward.
- Visit the following GitHub link
- Download the patch file by selecting the Satisfactory.ultrawide.v1.0.zip file under Assets
- Unzip the file into this location within the game’s installation folder:
Engine\Binaries\Win64\
Once completed, launch the game, and the ultrawide issues should be resolved. Below is a screenshot shared by Rose showcasing the corrected FOV and hands model view.
Kudos to Rose for developing and testing the patch at resolutions of 2560×1080, 3840×1080, and 5120×1440. Currently, there are no reported issues with the patch, and it operates seamlessly.
We hope the developers will also address this issue in a future patch. Given the lengthy development process, we expected this to be resolved in 1.0, but it appears that other matters took precedence.
As an Unreal Engine title, players may still experience occasional crashes while playing Satisfactory, which can be mitigated with a simple adjustment to the launch commands. Additionally, with the 1.0 release, it is essential to update your ports’ settings if you are running dedicated servers.
