Respected Community Manager for Destiny 2 announces return to Bungie

The renowned Destiny 2 community manager, dmg04, has revealed that he will be rejoining Bungie in June as their new Global Community Lead.

The Final Shape has been incredibly successful for Destiny 2. The latest expansion attracted a large number of returning players, who were pleased with the diverse content available and contributed to a positive player base.

It appears that numerous developers are also making a comeback, including the beloved former community manager dmg04 who has announced their return to Destiny 2.

Dylan Gafner, also recognized as dmg04, served as the community manager for Destiny 2. He was essentially the representative of the entire community and was awarded Best Community Support for the game in 2019.

In 2023, Gafner announced his departure from his position at Bungie and later joined Riot Games. Despite this change, the beloved developer has recently made a comeback, much to the joy of Guardians worldwide.

Gafner utilized Twitter to declare their upcoming comeback, scheduled for the end of this month.

“In order to be concise, I propose we make this announcement brief and to the point: June 24, 2024 – Global Community Lead for Destiny 2. I look forward to reconnecting with all of the Guardians soon. Additional information will be provided in the near future.”
