Restraining Order Against Austin McBroom: Woman Claims He Made Her Fear for Safety

Austin McBroom Faces Restraining Order Amid Controversial Filming Practices

Austin McBroom, a prominent YouTuber from the Ace Family, is currently embroiled in legal issues following a restraining order issued by a homeowner in Los Angeles. The homeowner, Brittney Collinson, has filed a lawsuit against McBroom, alleging unauthorized entry into her residence for the purpose of creating content.

Collinson’s lawsuit, which was filed in the Superior Court of Los Angeles County on November 21, 2023, claims McBroom is responsible for “intentional infliction of emotional distress, stalking, harassment, and trespass.” The allegations stem from incidents in which McBroom reportedly filmed videos within her home without permission, exposing her address through various SnapChat posts.

Since his divorce from Catherine Paiz in early 2024, McBroom’s SnapChat content has raised eyebrows. The lawsuit highlights instances where McBroom filmed videos that showed not only the exterior of Collinson’s home but also her address, significantly invading her privacy.

According to the lawsuit, one particular video from August 6 featured McBroom theatrically pretending to move into her home, while a subsequent video on August 19 portrayed him as being ejected from the same residence. These antics have reportedly led to severe emotional distress for Collinson.

Collinson articulates that the unauthorized exposure of her home address has resulted in an increase in unwanted visits, creating a persistent fear for her safety and prompting her to move from the property altogether. “This belligerent act by McBroom violated [Collinson’s] privacy and caused her substantial emotional distress and fear of the consequences resulting from the publication of [her] home address to millions of strangers,” the complaint states.

Furthermore, the lawsuit details a concerning dynamic involving Collinson’s roommate, a contestant from McBroom’s dating series, “Austin’s Looking for Love.” Following a rejection from the show, Collinson expressed fears of possible retaliation from McBroom, citing his history of erratic behavior.

In light of these allegations, a temporary restraining order has been issued, barring McBroom from posting any content concerning Collinson. This preventive measure addresses concerns over his potential to publicize ongoing legal matters to his followers.

This legal situation is the latest development in a series of questionable decisions made by McBroom, particularly since his recent separation from Paiz. Observers have noted a troubling pattern in McBroom’s behavior, especially when he reportedly lived in an RV parked behind his ex-wife’s residence. Reports of the RV’s repossession have further fueled speculation about the authenticity of his content.

As McBroom navigates these challenges, both legal and public, the implications of this case could have lasting effects on his career and personal life.
