Return of Warzone Ranked Play: Upcoming Date and Details

On October 17, the Ranked Play mode was temporarily taken down from both Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 as the development teams prepare for the impending release of Black Ops 6. The big question now is: when will Warzone’s ranked mode make its return?

Ranked Play has enjoyed tremendous success within Warzone, despite ongoing concerns about cheating among top-ranked players.

While some gamers have voiced their desire for a ranked mode available on the larger map, many others continue to grind daily in pursuit of surpassing their highest ranks.

However, ahead of Black Ops 6’s debut, and before the new game integrates into Warzone, ranked play has been removed. The duration of this hiatus remains uncertain.

Will Warzone Ranked Play Feature in BO6 Season 1?

Treyarch has confirmed that there are plans to introduce Ranked Play in Black Ops 6 during its first season, although it may not be available right at the start of Season 1.

Typically, the first season of new content begins a few weeks post-launch. The current Battle Pass concludes on November 6, and it’s reasonable to estimate that it will take another week or two before the new season kicks off. As a result, the likely start dates could be November 13 or 20.

The season generally spans eight weeks, pushing us towards potential dates like January 8 or 15 for the introduction of ranked play in Black Ops 6, according to the current timeline.

This leads many to speculate that Warzone ranked will debut around the same period, but there has yet to be an official statement from either Treyarch or Raven Software, meaning there could still be an extended wait for its return.

Additionally, it remains uncertain which map will host the ranked mode: we’ve previously seen Fortune’s Keep Ranked and Rebirth Island ranked, but is there a possibility for the new Area 99 map to be utilized instead?

Alternatively, could the ranked mode launch alongside a potential return of Verdansk in Spring 2025?
