Revenant Buffs Make Destiny 2 Exotic the Best Add-Clear Weapon

Destiny 2’s most recent patch introduced numerous adjustments, including significant buffs and nerfs to various weapon archetypes and Exotics. Among these changes, Bad Juju, a Kinetic Pulse Rifle that had long been sidelined in the PvE landscape, has received remarkable enhancements.

This rifle has risen to prominence, now recognized as one of the premier choices within the game. It excels at generating Super Energy while providing excellent add-clear capabilities that rival some of the most powerful primary weapons in the game.

The turning point came from a notably curious line in the patch notes: “The weapon also appears to have become more haunted than it used to be.”

This statement points to Bad Juju’s newly introduced feature that triggers cursed explosions after every three kills. These explosive effects not only enhance its effectiveness for clearing adds but also simplify the process of accumulating String of Curses stacks, thus enabling you to inflict additional damage and rapidly charge your Super.

Additionally, the duration of String of Curses has been extended, now lasting up to 7.5 seconds when paired with the catalyst, and the magazine size has been increased to 36 rounds. This means it’s easier to trigger String of Curses, and you’ll have more time and ammunition to utilize.

Previously, the cursed explosions from Bad Juju felt like a hidden feature that was nearly impossible to trigger during standard gameplay. Achieving the necessary 145 kills without reloading was a challenge that could take hundreds of hours to accomplish.

Following the recent adjustments, these explosions have transitioned from a mere easter egg to a fundamental aspect of the Exotic weapon, significantly enhancing its competitiveness with other established primary weapons, such as Necrochasm, Khvostov 7G-0X, and Sunshot.

Moreover, the updated Pulse Rifle has a competitive edge due to the inclusion of Unstoppable Pulse Rifle in this season’s artifact. This offers added versatility, allowing it to stun Unstoppable Champions and providing a 25% damage boost in activities that apply the Overcharged Weapons modifier, such as Nightfalls and Onslaught: Salvation.

To maximize the effectiveness of Bad Juju, consider pairing it with either Skull of Dire Ahamkara or Shards of Galanor. The added Super energy complements Bad Juju’s String of Curses, facilitating repeated use of Super abilities throughout your engagements.
