The episode commenced by spotlighting Garfiel Tinsel and Mimi Peralbaton, who stumbled upon the bodies of several slaughtered Priestella guards. They were attacked by two powerful Witch Cult members, whom Mimi warned them against confronting. Initially, Garfiel disagreed, but eventually heeding Mimi’s advice, they devised a plan to temporarily incapacitate the cultists before fleeing. She reminded him of their purpose, convincing him to proceed with caution.

The narrative then shifted to Reinhard van Astrea, who faced off against his father Heinkel Astrea, who had taken Felt hostage. Despite Felt’s urging to act decisively, Reinhard maintained a cautious approach. Following that, the focus shifted back to Subaru Natsuki and his group, who were strategizing against the Witch’s Cult. It was disclosed that the remains scattered across the city did not belong to the Witch of Envy, yet their precise location remained known only to Priestella’s Council of Ten.

Subaru inquired about Capella Emerada Lugunica, with the group speculating that she was mocking the fall of the royal family. Wilhelm van Astrea then shared that Emerada Lugunica had existed once, but was said to have perished over fifty years ago. He characterized her as strikingly beautiful, remarkably intelligent, and exceedingly ruthless.

The team was suddenly contacted by Ricardo Welkin and Hetaro Pearlbaton, who brought troubling news of Mimi’s injury. However, a broadcast from Capella interrupted them. As she addressed the city about assaults on the government, Garfiel burst into the room, holding what seemed to be Mimi’s lifeless form.

Fortunately, Re:ZERO Season 3 Episode 4 confirmed she was alive, but Felix Argyle struggled to treat her wounds. Wilhelm appeared to recognize the injury as Capella continued her ominous address. She threatened to start targeting Subaru and his companions, then unleashed a sonic attack that left them all in pain as her broadcast ended.

Kiritaka Muse then arrived, informing Subaru that Otto Suwen was missing, and he was unaware of Otto’s whereabouts. However, he confirmed that the witch’s remains exist but cannot be moved, making it impossible to comply with Capella’s demands. He explained that moving them could devastate the city, revealing these were the remains of the Witch of Pride, Typhon.

Subaru approached Garfiel, expressing the need for his strength to win the battle ahead. Garfiel recounted the incident with Mimi, admitting he had acted recklessly while trying to escape. Inspired by Ricardo, Garfiel found motivation to fight for Mimi’s sake, shaking off his despair regarding her condition.

Julius then questioned Subaru about his strategy, which involved deactivating the metia Capella used to address everyone. Accompanied by Ricardo, Julius, Wilhelm, Crusch Karsten, and Al, Subaru set out for the mission. Al, however, chose to depart in search of Priscilla, seemingly remorseful for leaving the group behind while Julius and the others excused his decision.

Before parting, Al cautioned Subaru against revealing his name if he encountered the Sin Archbishop of Gluttony. The remaining group then proceeded, finding a cluster of eggs in the town square, only to be ambushed by the same cultists who had attacked Garfiel and Mimi. Despite their best efforts, defeating the two adversaries proved elusive.

As they readied for another assault, a colossal black dragon arrived, introducing itself as Capella. Subaru addressed Capella directly, causing her confusion with his words and demeanor. Julius attacked Capella, inflicting significant damage; however, her injuries healed rapidly. Suddenly, a bell began to chime, signaling Capella’s retreat as the group dispersed.

Garfiel, Wilhelm, and Ricardo managed to deal with the two cultists while Subaru, Julius, and Crusch headed to rescue the captives. However, they soon encountered a formidable foe: the Sin Archbishop of Gluttony. Re:ZERO Season 3 Episode 4 portrayed Subaru’s immediate recognition of him, igniting his fury as he thought about Rem.

A furious Subaru confronted the Sin Archbishop, demanding to know why he was present. This led to the revelation that he was Roy Alphard, not Lye Batenkaitos. Subaru readied himself for a fight, and the episode shifted focus back to Emilia, who awoke in an unfamiliar room. Regulus Corneas entered, inquiring about her virginity status as the episode concluded.
